The Foster Parent Navigator is responsible for providing assistance, support and information to foster parents, and assists supervisor in various foster parent recognition programs
Essential Functions:
Act as point of contact for foster parents, disseminating information regarding support available (i.
e.
training opportunities, upcoming community events).
Obtains and drafts quarterly foster parent newsletter.
Assists supervisor in foster parent recognition events such as Foster Parent Appreciation Month; sending welcome letters to new foster parents, sending birthday cards.
Assists in organizing Christmas activities including mailing out Wish Lists, obtaining sponsors, picking up donations and matching gifts with children's lists.
Disseminate information from Foster Parent Associations in each county which includes meeting, training and upcoming events.
Acts as administrator for the Foster Parent College which provides required training and tracking completion of required training.
Provides foster parent's perspective relative to decisions made affecting foster parents.
Complete childcare (day care) referrals in Marion County.
Maintain databases on new foster parents including Licensing spreadsheet and Daily Census Report, and Do Not Call list; maintains email database.
Tracks health inspection and radon expiration dates to ensure re-inspections are completed in a timely manner.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
Participate in monthly Foster Parent Association presidents' conference call.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Education/Experience High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of one year as a Foster Parent Other Requirements Current Background Clearance Screening Letter Valid Florida driver's license and insurable by agency's current insurance carrier Must carry personal phone with voice plan only for business communications during and outside business hours KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Ability to meet Organizational Required Competency standards Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) Excellent organizational skills Excellent customer service skills Good problem-solving skills.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
