Senior HR Generalist

The Senior HR Generalist reports to the HR Director and is responsible for a wide variety of activities within the Human Resources Department.
This position will mostly be located in Wildwood, FL.
Job duties consist of managing recruiting and onboarding needs and include, but are not limited to, employee benefits, performance management, recognition, employee relations.
The Senior HR Generalist ensures the HR information system and other methods of data tracking are maintained accurately and timely.
The Senior HR Generalist provides consultation, coaching and leadership to Kids Central, Inc.
's management team and ensures consistent application of policies and procedures.
Essential Functions:
Manages full-cycle recruiting process for candidates, ensuring a smooth and positive candidate experience.
Assists with developing, implementing, and executing hiring strategies for multiple requisitions, assuring requisitions are moved expeditiously through the process.
Builds a strong network of candidates through expert use of online sourcing techniques, networking, referrals etc.
, to increase pipeline and build employer brand awareness.
Maintains & utilize data reports and performance metrics on a regular basis.
Provides/oversees effective orientation and onboarding for new employees.
Assists hiring manager with interviewing when requested.
Manages the on-boarding process for new hires to include background screens, and new hire materials.
Participates in and tracks New Employee Orientation Program for new hires.
Prepares and maintains employee files for audit compliance.
Schedules 30 day and 90 day follow up meetings with new hires and supervisors.
Assists with maintaining Kids Central's Affirmative Action Plan including data collection, analysis and mandatory reporting.
Manages employee health, welfare and 401(k) benefits.
Assists employees with benefits/insurance related issues following carrier requirements.
Administers Workers' Compensation, FMLA and other leaves.
Manages employee recognition programs, benefit meetings and other HR related meetings.
Assists HR Director with employee relations activities, which may include conducting confidential investigations, performing employee counseling and discipline, and development plans.
Assist with employee performance appraisals and development plans to ensure effectiveness and compliance.
Develops and implements employee training programs, including supervisory training.
Review and trend data involving turnover and requisition process.
Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation and conducts exit interviews.
Responds to unemployment claim filings as needed.
Conducts research and analyzes data to develop and recommend new or enhanced programs or processes.
Assists with compensation and classification issues.
Manages job description process and ensures all positions have up-to-date job descriptions.
Manages front desk reception, including appropriate staffing, ensuring calls and visitors are handled promptly and appropriately, incoming and outgoing mail is processed daily and postage machine is maintained.
Track all employee pledge donations and weekly coffee and jeans fund.
Other projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
Education/Experience Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in human resource management or a related field and 5 years of progressive human resources experience or 5-10 years of progressive human resources experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of applicable federal and state labor law and other government compliance regulations.
Experience with ADP Workforce Now HRIS system.
Other Requirements Ability to successfully clear a Level II background screen PHR or SPHR preferred Valid Florida driver's license, and must be insurable by KCI's current insurance carrier Must carry personal smart phone with data plan for business communications during and outside business hours KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Ability to meet Organizational Required Competency standards Excellent verbal and written communications skills Excellent judgment and decision-making skills Ability to work independently or with a team Identify priorities with the ability to multi-task Proficient with HRIS systems Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Strong working knowledge of federal and state labor laws Basic knowledge of Florida child welfare system Excellent customer service skills Ability to handle employee relations issues using an approach that is participative, collaborative, un-biased and advisory in nature.
